"Let’s Do Something" is a group of ladies who meet at the church building on the last Thursday of every month for a time of fellowship, study, discussion, prayer, sometimes crafting and always with the purpose of encouraging one another to “do something” to promote the church and the name of Christ in our community. In the past year we have made blankets for the Neo-Natal Unit at Erlanger Hospital, stuffed stockings for the Martin-Boyd Retirement Home and the St. Elmo Courts and made crafts to sell at the Martin-Boyd Home Fall Sale. We have prayed for and sent many, many cards to those who needed encouragement of our congregation and their friends and families. We are always looking for a good outreach project and welcome any suggestions.
We meet at 6PM and have a light meal and a short devotional. It is a wonderful opportunity to get to know one another better.
We then concentrate on the project of the month and usually finished around 7:30pm. Most crafts are very easy with no sewing involved. There is a job for everyone who comes—from tying knots in blankets to addressing cards. All ages are welcome—anyone who wants to help!
So, if you can find a place for it on your schedule, “Let’s Do Something" is fun, meaningful, and productive.
